Libby was born with crooked arms. The doctors immediately performed a variety of tests for her right after birth and discovered a hole between her two heart chambers. They also found deformities on her cervical vertebrae and in both her hands. Libby was later diagnosed with hearing issues; she is deaf in both ears.

Despite all the adversities, Libby and her family have remained strong and determined. After multiple surgeries and the specialized care at BC Children’s Hospital, Libby can stand up and be able to walk normally. To this date, she has ongoing medical treatments, and physical therapy on a regular basis. 

Libby is now in Grade 6 and learning to play piano. She also loves to draw.
